Bringing her sexiness to Sin City, Audrina Patridge was the center of attention at PURE Nightclub in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night (February 18).

Tending to her duties as face of the brand, the former "Hills" hottie showed off her fabulous figure as she celebrated the launch of Curve Appeal for Men at the Caesars Palace Resort and Casino nightclub.

Tweeting throughout her Vegas visit, Audrina wrote, "Goodtimes tonight.... Saw lots of Stunna shades #vegaslife," adding, "I'm going to learn how to play craps today!!... Wish me luck:) xoxo"

In related news, Miss Patridge recently chimed in her thoughts on the possibility of NFL quarterback Tim Tebow voicing his desire to compete on the ABC competition series "Dancing with the Stars".

"I think he would do amazing,? she told Celebuzz. ?He?s obviously an awesome football player so he wouldn?t have a problem with being driven or competitive. That?s a great start.?

The 26-year-old also spoke about how she thinks one of her former MTV male co-stars should show off their dancefloor moves, as she dished, ?Kristin [Cavallari] and I did it so it would be nice to see one of the guys get out there. We would never see them dance when we would go out so that would be interesting to watch. For a guy, they just need to loosen up, be light on their feet, and just have fun with it. A reader of Geekwire has sent in what he claims is a shot of Google Drive, which apparently has activated early for him. It's entirely possible that the shot is fake — Google's stark interface isn't exactly difficult to recreate. There are no obvious red flags we can see, though, and it jives with the presumably legit screen seen briefly at a Google-sponsored event back in 2011.

Gargantuan SQL injection infects 3.8 million URLs, installs rogue antivirus

Over the last few days, a mass SQL injection attack has been quickly gathering speed. Just three days ago only 28,000 URLs were affected, but at the time of writing, there could be up to 3.8 million infected URLs.

Websense has a complete write up the attack, dubbed 'LizaMoon,' but here's the basic gist: it looks like someone is exploiting a vulnerabilty (or vulnerabilities) in hundreds of thousands of websites running on Microsoft SQL Server 2003 and 2005. It's not yet known whether this is a vulnerability in SQL Server, or simply a case of outdated, unmaintained, and easily-exploitable CMSes.

The attack takes the form of an SQL injection, which then inserts a link to a JavaScript file hosted on the attacker's server. This is repeated over and over until every Web page in the SQL database has been infected -- and considering 3.8 million URLs have been infected, you can see that this is a very easy, and automated, attack.

Fortunately, the JavaScript isn't particularly malicious: it pops up a rogue AV program called Windows Stability Center, but that's it. Better yet, the rogue antivirus is already recognized by a bunch of real antivirus suites, including Avast, Panda and Microsoft Security Essentials.

The real problem with SQL injection attacks is that there's nothing we surfers can do about them. There will always be old and unmaintained websites, and thus SQL injections will remain one of the easiest and most lucrative tools of hackers and spammers alike. All you can do is keep your antivirus and anti-malware software up to date, and pray.

While that never happened, at least not onstage, Ke$ha delivered on her promise of a set heavy on her glitter gun. And she assured us she knew the dos and don'ts of handling that kind of firepower. "Do not spray yourself in the face with it," she said. "Do spray everybody else with it. That's pretty much it." While Joe Jonas wasn't performing at the show, he took a break from recording his solo debut to catch up with almost everyone backstage. "I didn't see Britney backstage, just said 'hello' to a couple of my friends," Jonas said. "Backstage is always [full of] people, especially having it at the Staples Center this time, I think compared to all the way out in the desert, it changes everything." Also happy to have Wango Tango in Los Angeles were locals Far East Movement. "Man, we grew up literally a few blocks away from here, and you can only imagine basketball games being played here," Kev Nish said. "So to come in here as performers, to be able to do our songs in this arena is a little crazy. We used to pass out CDs a few blocks [away], so we're very thankful. Sony Ericsson now owned solely by Sony; rebranding to occur within the month

 

Sony Corporation announced today that the transaction to buy out Ericsson's 50 percent share in Sony Ericsson was completed yesterday, February 15. The announcement marks the culmination of a nearly three month process, which started with Sony and Ericsson's joint statement of agreement back in October 2011 and was just recently approved by the European Commission on January 26. Sony Ericsson is a now a fully-owned subsidiary of the Sony Corporation, and will be officially renamed “Sony Mobile Communications” within the month.

As Sony originally stated, the buyout was spurred by its desire to integrate the Sony Ericsson line of smartphone devices into Sony's current line of network-connected devices.  Moving forward, Sony Mobile Communication devices will become an integral part of Sony's “connected home”, which will include tablets, TVs, PCs, and now smartphones, including the company's flagship Xperia line.

Sony Mobile Communications will be headquartered in London with R&D sites in Beijing, Tokyo, Lund, and the Silicon Valley stateside. It will begin operating with 8,000 employees and EUR 100 million in capital. Oscars 2012 Predictions: Best Adapted Screenplay

'The Descendants' and 'Moneyball' seem to be leading the race, but who will take home gold?

Woody Allen has dominated the race to decide the year's best screenplay, winning the Golden Globe for "Midnight in Paris," but when the Academy Awards split up the category into Adapted and Original, the former proves much harder to predict.

Based on critic and guild awards, the competition for Best Adapted Screenplay comes down to two films: "Moneyball" and "The Descendants." Each has won significant prizes in the past few months, so the category could result in one of the night's few genuine surprises.

Here are our predictions for Best Adapted Screenplay:

Who Will Win: Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash for "The Descendants." Unfortunately, this will be the film's consolation prize in a night dominated by Jean Dujardin and "The Artist." Without all of the hype surrounding Michel Hazanavicius' silent film, the story of a soon-to-be widower in Hawaii would be the odds-on favorite to take Best Picture and Actor. True to his reputation, Payne and his co-writers crafted a subtle, sad and touching film that keeps you laughing the entire way through. He has proven himself to be one of our most consistent auteurs. And although Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillian's screenplay for "Moneyball" deserves its spot as a front runner, Sorkin's win for "The Social Network" only happened a year ago.

Who Should Win: Bridget O'Connor and Peter Straughan for "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy." Straughan and his late wife O'Connor faced the challenge of not only adapting a beloved novel, but one that had been previously adapted into a beloved miniseries. In transforming John le Carré's book for the screen, the writing team crafted a story that confused audiences but never entirely lost them. The film broke box-office records with its limited release and proved successful despite its complexity. The screenplay for "Tinker Tailor" stands out not only because of the tragic story of the married couple who wrote it — O'Connor died of cancer shortly after finishing the script — but the level of success that came out of such a difficult assignment.

Tasty Planet is a fun flash game where you eat everything in sight

So this professor comes up with a new toilet cleaner that works by "eating" the dirt; or so he thinks. That's how the plot starts for Tasty Planet. You play the role of the toilet cleaner, but you're not really a toilet cleaner after all -- you're a blob of gray goo that can eat anything that's smaller than yourself.

As you chomp away, you grow -- and as you grow, you can eat bigger and bigger stuff. The first level pits you against microscopic particles; by the time I stopped playing, I got all the way to eating cats and dogs. I know that sounds disturbing, but it's a really cute game, and there's no gore or anything like that.

Supposedly you keep growing and growing until you're able to eat whole planets (hence the name). The challenge factor comes when you realize you can't touch any critter larger than yourself - you'll get "bitten" and become smaller. In the beginning you're so small, that a single touch can kill you. Later on, you're big enough that touching larger animals doesn't kill you on the spot, but it does reduce your size. Each level is timed, so if you're not large enough by the time your clock runs out, you need to start again. As long as you don't touch the larger animals, you should be fine.

All in all, a fun, addictive little game. It's available for iOS, too.

BlackBerry Desktop Software for PCs makes debatable leap to version 7.0

It's been a long time in the making, but the BlackBerry Desktop Software for PCs has just made the jump from version 6.1 to 7.0. Despite the significant numeric hurdle, the software is scant for new features and only a handful of known issues have been fixed. New to the revision, the organizer synchronization component has been overhauled for easier setup and BlackBerry users may now import individual pictures and videos from within the utility -- as if USB Mass Storage mode didn't work well enough. A bug that incorrectly minimized the software to the system tray has been resolved, along with a couple of annoyances that relate only to BES users. Meanwhile, the list of known issues is nearly four pages long. Yikes. Ever get the feeling this software release could've been more aptly named version 6.1.0.37?
